Trauma informed therapy

Hi, My name is Risa, and I am glad that you are here!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and offer virtual sessions for residents in PA and DE. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel incredibly hard. If you are here,  you are already doing something courageous -especially if you have been carrying a lot for a long time. You don't have to have the right words or a clear plan. We will start exactly where you are. I integrate EMDR, DBT – informed strategies, CBT, motivational interviewing, and parts work if appropriate. That means we can work gently with drama and stuck point, while also strengthening, day-to-day coping, communication, boundaries, and self trust. My goal is for you to leave session feeling more grounded and more connected to yourself.

Treating/Supporting : Trauma, Childhood trauma, Sexual trauma, Adult relational trauma, C-PTSD, Relationship issues, Divorce/Separation/Breakup, Narcissistic abuse, The effects of toxic parents, Depression, Anxiety, Self-esteem issues, Sleep issues, Grief, Life Transitions. Education:

San Diego State University: Master of Social Work (MSW)

University of California, Los Angeles, B.A. in Sociology 

Completed 3000+ hours of supervised post-graduate clinical training for LCSW licensure.
